The Postcard Project – day 9

sent from: Great Titchfield Street, London, UK. destination: San Francisco, California, USA

Although I’m a lifelong Clive Barker fan I don’t remember buying this card but it must have been before 1998. His books, with rare exception, have spoken to me profoundly, and the fact that he takes so long between books just makes the arrival of a new book that much more exciting. It’s also a reminder that the creative process is not a linear, predictable one.

In 2006 I did my biggest (and to date only!) bike tour, from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I have all kinds of plans for future bike tours, I can’t wait. This card is heading to the place where I started that tour, San Francisco, and to my gifted friend who makes her life pursuing the creative art she loves.
