It still frustrates me when people insist on propagating the myth that “no one walks in LA”, and “you have to drive to get anywhere”, as though this were an absolute truth that is unique to Southern California. Ask anyone who lives outside of a 10 mile radius of London if they have a car, and how many hours they spend battling traffic. And what of the crowds of people I saw this morning at the bus stop outside the Hollywood and Highland metro station? Clearly they do not drive anywhere. Oh, that’s right, they’re workers, cleaners, labourers, I forgot they count as “nobody”.
