#275 – The Rising Cost of Postcards

#275 - Postcards Get Expensive
#275 - back
sent from: London, UK. destination: Victoria, BC, Canada

This project costs just shy of £1 ($1.60) a day – most of that is the stamps, plus the rare costs of the postcards themselves. As my own original collection has dwindled, so others have stepped forward to contribute cards of their own, which I’m hugely grateful for. I spent a bunch on some antique postcards, but that’s unusual. As costs go it’s not huge, but it adds up – about £250 now. I’m forced to consider this, as the cost of stamps goes up today, the biggest raise in costs in many years – anywhere from 15%-35% more expensive depending on the destination. It’ll be interesting to see how much more in the end. I guess my point is ~ aint no free lunch.
