I couldn’t think of something to write, but I had the notion of some creature eating the address area of the postcard, so I started with the mouth and teeth and worked from there. It’s not a crocodile I know, but I think of it as a crocodile. Then I thought of an owl sitting on his neck and sketched that in there. It was only after I was in the middle of drawing that I realised I was listening to FX podcast’s interview with John Textor. I’m sure that influenced the number of teeth I drew.
