A man in a hospital waiting room struggles to stand. He inches up, gripping the chair tightly. Once stood he is tall but his head droops forward at the end of a curved back. his right hand hangs shaking at what appears to be Parkinsons. Impossible not to wonder what infirmity will strike, and when. Impossible to know, but I kick myself for skipping out on going for a run this morning, and the morning before that, and the the one before that. Wish my thoughts weren’t so dark, but I didn’t sleep much again last night. Sit up straight.
